Today, US President Donald Trump has announced that his proposal to appoint US ambassadors to the Republic of Albania is Yuri Kim.
Kim is a career senior at the Senior Foreign Service, and has served in the State Department as Director of the Southern European Affairs Office.
Earlier, she was Director of the State Department for Diplomacy Study, Chief of Staff of the Deputy Secretary of State and Director of the European Security and Military Affairs Department.
She has also served as the Assistant Secretary of State for Asia and Pacific Affairs and as a member of the United States delegation in the six-party talks to end North Korea’s nuclear program.
He also served as Political Adviser at the United States Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq, and later at the United States Embassy in Ankara, Turkey.
She speaks Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Turkish.
